Was there a definitive moment you realized you were trans? How old were you?

I don’t remember exactly, it was a slow realization, I was 13 or so.

How soon after did you start to make changes? What were these changes?

3 years later I told my parents and I regret being a coward and waiting so long. I didn’t change anything else then, I just waited till I got my testosterone and change my documents, but I didn’t put myself. Then I moved cities and just told everyone I am male.

Have these changes started to make you feel more comfortable in your life and body?

The testosterone has alleviated some of the dysphoria and stress I have. That I am socially a male too feels good and right.

What would you tell your younger self? Would you do anything differently?

I would tell my younger self to hurry the freak up and not wait so long to get on testosterone. If I could do anything different it would be telling my parents sooner.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Not really, but I hope everyone who reads this will some day live a happy life that feels right for them.

Have the gender-affirming steps you’ve taken impacted your overall happiness and sense of well-being?

Yes.
